SAGITTA (STAR GUARDIANS BOOK 3) by Ruby Lionsdrake
VS Note: Another instabuy for me!
Dr. Tala Matapang thought the most challenging part about getting kidnapped by slavers from another planet would be escaping, not butting heads with the obstinate Star Guardian captain who rescued her. She’s been working in his sickbay, and it’s refreshing not having to deal with the politics and bureaucracy she faced as a surgeon back home, but Captain Sagitta is as infuriating as he is handsome. He’s got this crazy plan to take her and the other women home against his government’s wishes, and he didn’t even consult them about it first.
Captain Sagitta “Sage” of Dethocoles believes in doing the right thing. That’s why he’s defying his government to take Tala and the other Earth women home. Unfortunately, he has a couple of problems. First, his government is sending a surprisingly aggressive pursuit after them. Second, he’s having a hard time imagining dropping Tala off and never seeing her again. She’s a capable doctor and is doing an excellent job heading up his sickbay. More than that, he’s attracted to her and is starting to care about her. Too bad he’s better at barking orders than sharing feelings, and he seems to argue with her every time they speak.
With trouble stalking the ship from behind and obstacles blocking the route ahead, Sage and Tala will have to form a bond and learn to work together, or neither of them will see their home worlds again.
BRILLIANT STARLIGHT (DARK PLANET WARRIORS BOOK 8) By Anna Carven
VS: I actually squealed with joy when I saw this and one clicked AT ONCE. I love this series.

We’re back on Silence, orbiting the Dark Planet while my husband handles unfinished business on Kythia. For some reason, he seems a little bit tense. According to Tarak, Kythian politics can be complicated. I just hope things don’t get too complicated, because I don’t want to be stuck here for too long. A warship isn’t really the best place to raise a child.

GAME ON ASKOLE (COLETTI WARLORDS) by Gail Koger
Tihar travels to Earth to find and claim a Jones female. He knows they are fearless, psychic warriors, and talented in bed sport. Ten minutes after meeting Sarah, Tihar knows the feisty little human is the one he has been searching for. Now he must convince Sarah that she’s meant to be his. He thinks Earth girls are easy. he’s about to learn that messing with a Jones female is never a good idea.
The first time Sarah sees Tihar, she’s a wee bit freaked out. The Askole warrior has tentacles, snakelike features, and black, armored-plated skin. Even weirder, she finds him strangely attractive. Tihar’s torso is sculpted perfection and his black scales are actually kind of sexy. Who knew challenging Tihar to combat would start the Askole mating dance?
As the two grow closer, their romance comes to a screeching halt when Askole rebels attack Tihar’s home world. He tells Sarah she is his heart’s destiny and that he will love her to the end of time, then he abruptly severs their mental bond and disappears. Sarah’s left reeling from shock, but she’s a Jones and isn’t about to let a galactic war stop her from hunting down her mate. Can the two of them find their way back into each other’s arms?
BARBARIAN’S TEASE by Ruby Dixon
VS note: Oh to write and release as fast as Ms. Dixon does LOL. This series is one of my favorites though, fun and quick reads.
It should have been a one-night stand.
I never intended to seduce Taushen, but things happened. I don’t dwell on the past and while it was great, I’m not looking for a relationship. Of course, try telling that to Taushen. The big blue alien’s in love after one night, and it’s making things darn awkward. We’ve got bigger problems than whether or not I’m his woman, like the ‘cargo’ of the space ship that landed here.
But Taushen’s not giving up. He thinks I’m his mate.

VS Note: There isn’t a book synopsis on the Amazon page that I could find so I borrowed this from an awesome review there by ‘Bec’:

More VS: Not sure this has happy romance elements. What caught my eye were recommendations from the likes of Patricia Briggs, whose books I adore. So as always, decide for yourself. I’m thinking I might go back and try Book 1 in the series but here’s the link for this new book:

VS Note: OK so this sounded so good, I decided to go back and one click the first book in the series and see how I like it.

They’re looking forward to some well-earned downtime – until Harper is attacked by mercenaries in the middle of her tattoo shop.
