As always, I recommend sampling before you buy! I have not read most of the new releases listed (although I always end up one-clicking a bunch as I prepare these posts LOL).

VS Note: I’ve been enjoying this series, so the book is on my ‘gotta read it SOON’ TBR List.

ALIEN SPACE OUTLAWS by Mara Frost

Go to space they said!
Be an astronaut they said!
Do something that only a few people in the world have ever done they said!
No one ever said go into space and get abducted by big aliens so that you can be sold to the highest bidder though.

It’s funny how no one ever said that.

As the resident geologist for the International Space Station, I expected a few things during my stay in space – maybe run some particle tests, collect some space dust, run some experiments and enjoy the view. What I didn’t expect was to be abducted by a huge, terrifying alien, get carted across the universe and then have to be on the run with said terrifying alien because he apparently doesn’t know how to stay out of trouble.

And the very last thing I expected was to actually find the infuriatingly cocky alien sexy and charming.

So now I have to figure out a way to survive space, the intergalactic mafia and all the random aliens who want to have me as a pet or wear me as a hat, and I have to do it all without falling for the guy who abducted me in the first place.

VS Note: I totally LOVE this series and had the book pre-ordered. This was one of those “stay up way too late and read it in one sitting” books for me. It’s the last book in the direct series but luckily there are spin offs.

Note from Veronica: This award winning 2016 scifi romance of mine is a little different from most of my Sectors novels so I thought I’d mention it today! I took a concept Andre Norton used to play with sometimes in her books, that of desperate fugitives in a high tech world traveling through a gate to a new home where they find they unaccountably fit into legendary roles, and magic and myth rule. It was sort of a hybrid of scifi romance and fantasy, with a tiny bit of time travel thrown in too. I had fun with it!
