Lunch at the Ritz
I’m known for loving big, blingy earrings – I wore a different pair every day to the old office job at NASA/JPL and in fact one manager told me his staff had bets on how long it would be before they saw me wear the same pair to a meeting twice! Now that I’m a fulltime scifi romance author, the earrings don’t get out of the jewelry boxes too often. (Somehow I don’t feel the need to wear chandelier earrings with rhinestones while I sit at the laptop and type. But on a trip to the grocery store? Oh YES.) I’ve been collecting earrings since high school, so I have a massive collection – three standing jewelry boxes full. All fashion jewelry – I’m not talking genuine Elizabeth Taylor-style gems here! Don’t I wish!
I decided at a young age they were my thing and I’d wear them unapologetically, no matter how dramatic they might be. My fashion statement!

Lunch at the Ritz – I wear these a LOT. My toddler grandson loves them.
At any rate, I’ve been sharing them on my Facebook page and my Instagram, one pair a day for a number of months now, and since Thanksgiving I’ve been featuring my holiday earrings. I thought I’d post a few here since we’re getting close to Christmas! I’ve got some fun pairs ahead to share on the FB and IG next week and also some New Year’s-themed ones….
Here’s the Lunch at the Ritz website – I’m not affiliated with them in any way, other than loving their earrings…eBay is also a great source for finding vintage earrings. I used to be able to find terrific ones at thrift stores or garage sales but not so much these days. In the old days I got many of my earrings and pins at the local department stores like Broadway, Penney’s and the May Company…and at Ross on clearance! Ross was especially good for the holiday pins for quite a while.
I don’t add to the collection much now since as I mentioned I’m a fulltime author but every now and then I find a pair I can’t resist…

I don’t always wear the chandelier style.

Vintage Mr. Bijoux bling, good for the holidays – remind me of ornaments!

Some days I also share a photo of a few Christmas pins…
Happy holiday season to everyone!

Love these! Since I work from home too, I rarely wear jewelry at all anymore, not even rings. I end up washing my hands a lot since I’m the one who does the cooking, so I’m often washing dishes too. The weather where I live leaves my hands so dry in the winter that wearing rings would be a real pain.
