I see literally thousands of book covers in my chosen genres every year (over 5000 in 2022!) while putting together the weekly New Releases Reports. Looking at the covers each week is one of the best parts of doing the report!
Yet certain covers linger in my memory. Continuing my annual tradition, here are the MOST memorable-to-me covers of all the wonderful artwork I saw in the last twelve months, for scifi romance, fantasy and paranormal romance, plus PNR cozies, anthologies and steampunk for 2022. Presented in (mostly) alphabetical order within each genre. Nothing scientific in my methodology! Just my personal opinion, based on whether the cover stood out to me and then remained fresh in my memory.
(Note: My reporting period for this doesn’t count December 31, which will be included in the 2023 post, assuming I do one.)
Please note that there’s a lot of overlap in whether books are classified by the authors in Fantasy or Paranormal. I mostly went by the Amazon classifications as best I could.

NOTE: I did have a story in CLAIMED AMONG THE STARS (which is no longer on sale). A number of these were limited time collections and are no longer available but the covers were still memorable.

NOTE: I only cover paranormal cozies.

That’s a lot of covers! All amazing. I’m flattered that Genmate Imperiled and Vortex made your list. Both of those were designed by Croco Designs.
Such incredible artistry! I’m absolutely thrilled that you included Elemental Fire with this amazing collection!
