Originally I had a whole lot more in it about the Outlier empress and her court but that got largely edited out.The action starts in the Sectors but then goes through a portal into a much different planet. There’s even a bit of time travel. I was inspired by some of Andre Norton’s novels where the cvharacters go through a portal and plunge into mystery and adventure on a new world. (Although I added romance of course!) I have sequels in mind for it someday, perhaps…
