I’m still having fun getting my characters made into chibis by the wonderful Fiverr artist Hema Hemo and this time I had my four alien empath books done!

I will also note that we didn’t do too good a job of portraying the green skinned, green haired empaths on the original covers way back when…

Here’s a brief note about the series (full details of each book on the series page here on my blog if you haven’t read them yet!):

Four alien empaths kidnapped by the interstellar crime mob and forced to do their bidding. Who can they trust to help them escape?

STAR CRUISE STOWAWAY

The first in the series. This was written originally for a Pets in Space anthology and Moby the ship’s cat and Midorri, an alien pet, were part of the action. Midorri was a cross between a red panda and a tribble in my head. The artist here has done a fun job of making the original Midorri art by Nyssa Juneau into a chibi pet. Midorri has six legs and I love the way the tiny paws are drawn here (five of them anyway).

DANGER IN THE STARS

She’s the sister of the FMC in book one and he’s a mob enforcer with a lot of secrets.

TWO AGAINST THE STARS

The FMC here is on the run from the mob, having escaped into the slums on an alien planet. The MMC is ex-Special Forces.

THE FATED STARS

My daughters challenged me to write a female mercenary because at the time I hadn’t. It was a fun twist to have the alien empath be a man who needed rescuing. The animals are the “Amusing Ones” from a sequence on a planet ruled by a giant, sentient tree. In ‘real life’ they’re much bigger but I thought the artist made them adorable here. This is their debut as they’ve never been depicted in any form previously. The FMC has an encounter with a group of them…
