Gods of Egypt Book Trailer Reveal

I’m very pleased and thrilled to share my new book trailer, created for the Gods of Egypt series by MakingItReel (also known as Theresa McClinton). So far there are three books in the series, each one a standalone story of romance, magic and adventure, all set in 1550 BCE Egypt.  If you enjoy stories taking place in the ancient,  faraway land along the Nile, please consider dipping into Warrior of the Nile (coming September 16th), Priestess of the Nile (released in January 2012) and Dancer of the Nile (coming late October).  For the trailer we tried really hard to invite you to step into Ancient Egypt with us….

Magic of the Nile will be coming out in January 2014, and is the sequel to Priestess…more to come on that story soon!

You can preorder Warrior of the Nile at Amazon….

Cover Reveal Dancer of the Nile

DancerOfTheNile_1600x2400I’m really pleased to share the cover for my upcoming October release in the “Gods of Egypt” series: DANCER OF THE NILE. It was so much fun to work with the amazing Frauke of Croco Designs again (she did the cover for PRIESTESS OF THE NILE in 2012).

I’m making a few last minute edits on DANCER so expect to see this title available toward the end of October. (You can sign up for my mailing list to be alerted of new releases, if you like. I promise to be very respectful of your mailbox!)

Here’s the story for my DANCER:

Egypt, 1500 BCE

Nima’s beauty and skill as a dancer leads an infatuated enemy to kidnap her after destroying an Egyptian border town. However, she’s not the only hostage in the enemy camp: Kamin, an Egyptian soldier on a secret mission for Pharaoh, has been taken as well. Working together to escape, the two of them embark on a desperate quest across the desert to carry word of the enemy’s invasion plans to Pharaoh’s people.

As they flee for their lives, these two strangers thrown together by misfortune have to trust in each other to survive.  Nima suspects Kamin is more than the simple soldier he seems, but she finds it hard to resist the effect he has on her heart.  Kamin has a duty to his Pharaoh to see his mission completed, but this clever and courageous dancer is claiming more of his loyalty and love by the moment. Kamin starts to worry, if it comes to a choice between saving Egypt or saving Nima’s life…what will he do?

Aided by the Egyptian god Horus and the Snake Goddess Renenutet, beset by the enemy’s black magic, can Nima and Kamin evade the enemy and reach the safety of the Nile in time to foil the planned attack?

Can there ever be a happy future together for the humble dancer and the brave Egyptian soldier who is so much more than he seems?

And of course we’re getting really close to the September 16th release date for WARRIOR OF THE NILE, which is available for preorder at Amazon. Lots going on, but I like it that way! Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Six Sentence Sunday

From A Work In Progress, Dancer of the Nile

Nima the dancer and Kamin, the other Egyptian prisoner, have escaped the Hyksos in a stolen chariot. The  chariot crashes and their pursuers will be upon them any moment.

Putting his hand under her elbow, Kamin pulled her to her feet and gave her a gentle push toward the overturned chariot. “Crawl under there and stay put, you hear me? They won’t be able to get at you without fighting their way through me and I won’t die easily.”

Nima scrutinized the oncoming chariots, hearing the guttural war cries of the Hyksos warriors. “You can’t possibly defeat all those men – “

He stopped her with a kiss, tugging her body against his for a brief moment, as he said, “If I’m fighting for you, I can.”
