VS Note: Wow, the reviews are really all over the place on this one (relating to aspects of the plot and the heroine) so your mileage may vary. I have not read it.
I thought I’d won a dream vacation to some kind of tropical paradise, until I discovered the freaking travel agency is actually a “mail order bride agency.” I show up with my swim suit and sunscreen in hand and instead I’m presented with a savage alien barking orders at me to follow him onto his giant spaceship. Yet despite his rudeness, my heart skips a beat. I swore I’d never forge a relationship with an alien. I’m not like those flighty starlets in Hollywood who only go for the physical. I can’t possibly have actual feelings for this barbaric alien. All I want is to go home, but he wants to claim me as his mate and I don’t know if I can say no to his desirous gaze, his rousing touch, and his muscled body.

I always knew that aliens were watching us. But I never realized it wasn’t like The X-Files out there.
More like…The Bachelor? To be fair, the moment I met my Kaleth warrior, I knew I was his. Just like he knew he was mine. It was like a tingling sensation that wouldn’t quit. See, he came to Earth on vacation. I mean, even hard-charging Kaleth warriors have to take some time off from defending the galaxy. And he came over to visit some diners, drive-ins, and dives. He made a list from watching the Food Network (I’m not even joking!) But all is not well in paradise. He’s got a list of enemies a mile long and they want to stop our love at all costs. So we’re on the run from them while trying to give our love a chance to grow. Along the way, we’re heading to a luau and taking surfing lessons. But I know we’ll get through this no problemo. How? You know how they say guac is extra? Well, big bad Kaleth warrior….So am I.
REACH OF THE COLOSSUS: A STEAMPUNK SPACE OPERA ADVENTURE (A HOLLY DRAKE JOB BOOK 6) by Nicole Grotepas
