Those are like magic for an author and so I set aside the one I had been working on and wrote this one (or let it write itself). I’m very fond of these two characters. There’s another character in this one (not the heroine) who my readers felt I’d treated unfairly and they wanted her to have her own story…so I eventually wrote IVOKK for her and had so much fun doing it, giving her her own Badari hero, but that one is ten books further off in the series…
JADRIAN’S story: Taura Dancer has been pushed to her limits by alien torturers known as the Khagrish and is ready to die when suddenly the lab where she’s held as a prisoner is taken down by an armed force of soldiers.

When he’s captured by the dreaded enemy, will she step forward to help save him, or will she remain a prisoner of her past?
Genetically engineered soldiers of the far future, the Badari were created by alien enemies to fight humans. But then the scientists kidnapped an entire human colony from the Sectors to use as subjects in twisted experiments…the Badari and the humans made common cause, rebelled and escaped the labs. Now they live side by side in a sanctuary valley protected by a powerful Artificial Intelligence, and wage unceasing war on the aliens. Some overarching issues do remain unresolved in each book since this is an ongoing series but romance always wins the day in my novels!
