VS: Had a conversation with someone the other day about one of my older, standalone scifi romances, so I’ll put that one for this week’s backlist spotlight. The concepts were fun to write – what if there was one remaining ancient alien explorer still trapped on a primitive planet when a few humans arrived? And how would she feel when she was finally freed, thousands of years after her father and the rest of their expedition unaccountably left her behind? There’s also an Easter egg of sorts, in that a member of my family loathes green beans so I wrote them into one scene. This probably should have been a duology – I had so much plot!
