VS: Next up in my ancient Egyptian backlist is SONG OF THE NILE, which is a direct sequel to LADY OF THE NILE, but focuses on Merneith, who left the hidden city in the previous book. (The story is standalone.) She’s a musician, a harpist and I had so much fun researching ancient instruments and music for this story. Nikare, the dashing medjai officer who was a supporting character in the previous book is her love interest and various Great Ones make their appearances, including Khonsu. Part of the plot Nikare is investigating is based on laws and events in this general 1550 BCE time frame. Here’s the blurb:
