I have a new paranormal romance release of my own this week! Scroll down to see the listing for HEIRESS OF THE NILE…(I always lead with the scifi romance titles).
As always, I recommend sampling before you buy! I have not read most of the new releases listed (although I always end up one-clicking a bunch as I prepare these posts LOL).
Reign Obe’shan is hot headed. Infuriating. Ambitious—unfailingly loyal and willing to maim, kill, or die for duty. Reign’s boss, Imperial royal warrior Vykhan loves her in secret, concealing his identity. Dark secrets shadow his steps, and despite his vow to protect her from a distance, his past threatens to ensnare them both. He fears if he unleashes his inner beast it will have no mercy, not even for his fated mate. But to block an enemy from claiming her—body and life—he has no choice but to let his dark side reign.
He doesn’t dare touch her. Even though he’s burning for the feel of her skin. They’re about to be sent off to capture a deadly criminal, and all Thelkor wants is a new pilot. Instead, a human woman arrives on the Golden Meridian. As a pilot and a genetic match to one of the warriors on the ship, everything should be perfect … but her records are lost in transit. She can’t be his. He knows it. He won’t allow it. But with every moment Rachel is in his sight, his need for her grows. Rachel was born to fly. Why does she suspect that in the surly warrior’s arms she could soar higher than ever before? He doesn’t want her. That’s fine. She doesn’t want him either. There’s a whole crew of perfectly nice, reasonable alien warriors. Surely she can’t be mated to that jerk. Even if he makes her heart do loop-the-loops every time he’s near. When the mission puts them all in danger, will she get to see the real warrior under the surly mask?
Emma: I’m pretty sure Teran hates me. Why else would this scarred dragon warrior avoid touching me, talking to me, or being around me? Yet when we’re sent on a quest to find a long-lost cache of precious stones that could save the kingdom, I’ll be flying for weeks in his arms. I have to guard my heart. Otherwise, he’ll break it. Teran: I am crazy about Emma, and I long to touch her, to bring about the Torrent–the ancient Driegon mating ritual. Our quest will throw us together, and it will be torture to hold myself back, but if I give in, I could endanger her life. But when rival factions attack, determined to keep us from finding the stones, I’ll do whatever it takes to protect her.
She’d do anything to find her daughter – even make a bargain with a beast. Leia wants nothing to do with the aliens who invaded Earth. Find one of the aliens and offer him a deal. She never expected the beast she found would be the new Overseer’s personal bodyguard. And she never imagined what would happen when she agreed to be claimed by an alien warrior named Var…He came to this planet as a conqueror – only to find a female who brought him to his knees. Var’s orders were simple. Deal with a rogue warrior and protect the inhabitants of a human village. Then she ran into view…Leia isn’t like any female he’s ever seen. She defies and confounds him, but there’s no mistaking what she is… his.
Rhys Darkbinder is an expatriated Dracenean royal living the high life on Earth, a planet far, far away from his homeworld in the Drachen System. Unfortunately, his fun comes to an end when a Dracenean honor guard arrives at his doorstep to escort him to the one person in the known universe he fears: his mother. She is the only one who can guilt him into doing anything, and this time her demands are high: take on the unexpected royal duty of marrying and starting a family. There is no way out of the obligation—and potential civil war—unless he finds his fated mate. Now he has thirty days to convince the imperial committee that he’s already bonded, or else he’ll be married off to a beast of a royal bride. As Starlight Bay’s most eligible bachelor, he needs all the help he can get to find a fated-mate-level match—and fast! Enter Stars Aligned Matchmaking Agency. They’re known for successfully pairing members of expatriate alien races with human mates—and their database just might have the perfect woman for the reluctant prince.
When Kaide declares—in front of the whole village, no less—that we’re fated mates, he acts like that’s the end of it. Like it’s all been decided, and we’ll just live happily ever after. Uhhh… not so fast, buddy. I barely know the guy. And even though I have to admit his gorgeous smile and cocky attitude turn me on, that doesn’t mean I’m ready for a lifelong commitment. But when I tell him I’m not interested in letting some mystical bond make my decisions for me and would rather fall in love the old-fashioned way, Kaide doesn’t even bat an eye. He just vows then and there that he’ll make me fall in love with him. He even agrees to let me join him and a few other Voxerans on a trading mission to Pascia, which I was sure he’d deny. He treats me as an equal, something I can’t say for any of the men I knew back on Earth. And no matter how many walls I put up around my heart, he keeps finding ways to break them down. Turns out, my would-be mate is as stubborn as I am. And he’s clearly up for a challenge.
When news anchor Prometheus’s ratings slide, he’s faced with an ultimatum – get more viewers, or lose his job. So, with his favourite holiday, April Fool’s Day, looming, he comes up with the perfect plan – a prank so compelling, everyone in the Colony will be watching his show.
Until his made-up news story turns out to be true.

Time can’t heal these wounds. At least, not with a broken time machine ripping them open again and again, every hour on the hour. Pearl Shelley thought that leaving the Clockwork Apothecary to help Dr. McCaffrey at the Post Boston Infirmary would take her mind off Dorian and the future she can never have with him. Though she will need help…The last thing Captain Leopold Le Guin remembers is the pomp and circumstance leading up to his wedding—right before the earth split open and the world went black. Alias Space and Other Stories is the first fiction collection from Nebula Award-winning writer Kelly Robson, who vaulted onto the Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror stage in 2015, earning spots in multiple Year’s Best anthologies. This volume collects Robson’s best stories to date, along with exciting new work, and notes to accompany each piece. Robson’s stories are noted for their compassion, humanity, humor, rigor, and joy. This volume includes the chilling gothic horror “A Human Stain,” winner of the 2018 Nebula Award; the madcap historical fantasy “Waters of Versailles,” which was a finalist for both the Nebula and World Fantasy Awards; and science fiction stories such as the touching “Intervention,” chilling “The Three Resurrections of Jessica Churchill,” obscene “What Gentle Women Dare,” heartbreaking “Two-Year Man,” and many others. These fourteen stories showcase Robson’s whip-smart richness of invention, brilliant storytelling, deep worldbuilding, and devilish sense of humor.
Kennedy – I’m in trouble. Big, big trouble. Double trouble even. Us human women that survived the crash of our ship were taken as slaves. Trapped on the gladiatorial planet of Krix, we live and die by the whim of our masters. If they find out I’m pregnant, I’ll be in even worse danger. Will they let me live? Will they take away my baby? It was one night with the lithe, sexy blue aliens called the Twins. Just one night. A night filled with star-white hair, tantalizing fangs and more hard muscle than a single girl could handle. But now I might be not only trapped on this planet, but trapped with these two aliens who will claim me as their’s even though they don’t know me and it’s only lust, not love that brought us together. The Twins – We are an oddity among the Alvan. Born as two instead of one, we share a mind– our thoughts and feelings always known to each other. This bond is the same as shared among mates of the soul, Pari our people call it. We’ve always assumed this meant we would never form this bond with others. Never know this connection with a female. Until Kennedy. There was something there the single night she chose to come to us. A night that left us wanting more, no matter the cost or danger to our lives being slaves brings.
Tracking down killers is Stella’s job, but her latest suspect is the kind of seductive that makes a girl forget herself. Serus has penetrating blue eyes, is tall, imposing, and completely distracting. She has him cornered, but instead of putting the sexy rogue in cuffs, she unexpectedly finds herself standing on an alien planet, banished to a penal colony full of savage criminals. Serus battles darkness. It is in him, around him, a legacy from his tyrant father, the same despot he chased to the remote blue planet—Earth. But he finally thinks he has it beat, and has even set his sights on a fiery-haired female who makes his blood ignite. Except when she gets caught up in his father’s trap, he must acknowledge that happiness isn’t his fate. To protect her, he’ll be forced to unleash the curse, proving just how inhuman and lethal he truly is. Will Stella’s acceptance and love be enough to conquer the nightmare or is Serus destined for darkness?
VS Note: I LOVE this series. Not romance but oh so good. Had it pre-ordered.
No, I didn’t kill the dead human. If I had, I wouldn’t dump the body in the station mall. When Murderbot discovers a dead body on Preservation Station, it knows it is going to have to assist station security to determine who the body is (was), how they were killed (that should be relatively straightforward, at least), and why (because apparently that matters to a lot of people—who knew?)
Yes, the unthinkable is about to happen: Murderbot must voluntarily speak to humans! Again!
Cyrax was orphaned from an early age and left to fend for himself on the streets of the citydom. He learned early how to survive in the underworld of crime and deceit—violence and reckless abandon becoming his new family. Will he be just as ruthless to a Human female who becomes an unexpected possession he acquires after his latest gang battle? With the Federation, the law of the Perinqual Galaxy and other gangs snapping at his heels, what will he do with her? He should drop the dead weight but she’s visually too appealing. Bekka has had it tough her whole life—foster care and relationships with lowlife, good for nothing boyfriends who’ve leeched off her to fund their habits…(more blurb on ebook seller page…)
VS Note: I thoroughly enjoyed the first CATNET book so I had this pre-ordered. Really a fun series. Not romance.
When a mysterious entity starts hacking into social networks and chat rooms to instigate paranoia and violence in the real world, it’s up to Steph and her new friend, Nell, to find a way to stop it—with the help of their benevolent AI friend, CheshireCat.
Ella – I’ve been watching and filming and reporting on what is being called an alien invasion. When a military-looking guy tries to steal my footage, another man steps into save me, and he’s definitely not human. Now I don’t know who to trust…Maden – I refused an order to fall back to Camelot because my mate was nearby. I need to find her and claim her. When she is attacked, I step in. Now all I have to do is convince her I am one of the good aliens and that she is my mate.

But from the time I land, I’m running for my life. Petrified and completely disoriented, I stumble into some ruins to hide out. When I’m found by a huge purple alien, he’s livid, declaring I’m trespassing on sacred ground. But when he falls to the floor convulsing, I don’t run. I’m too distracted by the glowing column of light that pulls me closer, finally telling me why I’m here. Unfortunately, I’m supposed to find a “mate” too. Jules is an ordinary nineteen-year-old omega from a perfectly respectable family. He’s not the most beautiful, or the smartest, or the strongest of the four Blake siblings. And he’s fine with it, really. He isn’t ugly or anything, but by omega standards, he’s nothing special. “Nothing special” describes Jules’s whole life. It’s utterly boring. So when strange things start happening in their house, it piques Jules’s curiosity. There’s a beast in the Blake family mansion; Jules is sure of it. He sometimes hears growls and screams coming from the basement, and the men guarding the door look positively terrified. What could terrify grown alphas? Jules will have to investigate! But his investigation comes with surprises…like the Beast’s overwhelming effect on Jules’s omega nature. It doesn’t mean anything. Of course it doesn’t. Jules is just curious; that’s all. Curiosity can change a life, but when you’re attracted to a feral alpha whose real face you haven’t even seen…will it change for the better? What if the Beast is no Prince Charming but a cold-hearted, cynical bastard? A bastard Jules shouldn’t want—but does. A bastard Jules should stay away from—but can’t.
Yesterday I was a human being. Today I’m nothing but a piece of meat. There was a time when I doubted the existence of aliens. Now I’m a believer. I’m alone on the stage, vulnerable, frightened, sweating in the spotlight. Meanwhile, a crowd of alien monsters are casting their bids. The prize? Me.
This place is a meat market. Literally. To these alien beasts I’m nothing but a delicacy. A tasty morsel of exotic food. Except for the aliens who actually end up claiming me. The Raksha. Five terrifying purple-skinned males, all rippling muscles and growly alpha dominance. These guys have a different kind of hunger smoldering in their orange eyes. They own me now, body and soul. I’m their pet, their plaything. Theirs to use, to share, to dominate as they see fit. It turns out the Raksha have a problem. Their females are all gone, wiped out by a deadly plague. Their entire species is now doomed to extinction. For some reason, they think I can help. And they’re about to show me how. I’d say my chances of ever returning to Earth are slim to none. By the time the Raksha are done with me, maybe I won’t want to.

We create a wormhole. I enter the wormhole. It was meant to be a simple excursion. Collect some samples, record my observations, and return home within an hour. I ended up trapped in a cave and found myself in the grasp of a massive Scovein named Drenas. His powerful arms gripped me against his hard body as we made our way out of the cave and away from the creature stalking us. We made our escape, but my hour was up. The wormhole had closed and there is no way to return home. I’m not even certain Drenas would have allowed me to leave, anyway. I’ve always longed to visit another world, but now that I’m here… I don’t know if I should be terrified or excited. Drenas seems willing to protect me, even if he’s a bit possessive. The way he scowls at me is terrifying and the heat of lust burns in his eyes as they wander my body. That look and the heat that comes with it scares me, but deep down I think I crave it. The city he is leading me to is massive and sprawling, I could probably make an easy escape once we’re there. The problem is, I’m not sure I want to escape him.
To save her from the Shadow he must claim her for himself. Every M’rora is born a twin – one good and righteous, the other evil and twisted – and they’re both on the hunt for the fated mate they share. Vai is the only creature strong enough to fight his malevolent twin. If he fails, she will be dragged into the Shadow Realm and passed from one breeder to the next. There’s only one way to save her: The evil twin will not breed with his mate if she has already been claimed, so Vai must do it first. But Vai is kind and can only take what is willingly given. Emma is attracted to her possessive alien warrior but refuses to sleep with him. After all, the M’rora mate for life and it’s not a commitment she’s ready to make… even if a worse fate awaits her. Will she listen to her inner voice that longs to be claimed by the powerful alien or will she ignore it and realize her mistake too late?
Space ship travel when you’ve been kidnapped sucks. I don’t get a pillow, there’s no snacks, and worst of all–the whole ship crashes. Except, it doesn’t crash on Earth, or even Mars. Nope, I’m in a whole new galaxy on a foreign planet and some body-builder-looking blue horned aliens with lots of piercings have decided I’m their new play thing. And not in a good way. Until one alien decides he’s not going to share, and maybe I have a concussion from the crash, because I’m all about the possessive way he protects me. But there’s no way he’ll fight his whole clan for me… right?
What’s worse…being abducted by aliens or being a host for one? TARA: Worse turns out to be a terrifying alien General hell bent on claiming me, and my unborn child, for himself. He wants complete submission and there’s no denying what I see in his deep red eyes, or the flash of his electric blue markings. He thinks he’s the perfect specimen of a Haalux warrior in every department.
I might not have been in this galaxy for long, but I’ve got a trick or two. There’s a surprise waiting for the General and he’s not going to like it. Not one bit. KYLAR: I’m everything a Haalux warrior should be. I fight, maim and kill for my Empire without question. The pregnant human female is mine, the spoils of war that I’m keeping for myself. Because the Empire can’t call to my damaged soul in the way she does. Her ripe body and calculated defiance call to me, soothe me and push me to breaking point. She has become my obsession and I’m going to tame her if it’s the last thing I do.
He’s huge, mean, and damaged. It’s bad enough he oversees Elsa’s work, but he’s also her personal bodyguard and roommate. They’re at each other’s throats all day, but at night, with no one looking and the wine flowing, she can’t stop staring at him. He might be off-limits, but he’s also hot as hell, and he can’t keep his hands off her when he’s drunk. Everyone tells her she should avoid him, that there’s no saving him and no going back if she gives in. But forbidden fruit is always the sweetest, and one bite shouldn’t hurt. Unless she ends up mated to the angry brute.
He’s an alien monster king. And he is in a very bad mood. King Brawn just crash landed on the Santa Monica Pier and took out the ferris wheel, which left his ship in tatters. I’m a negotiator for the LAPD. First on scene. I’m the one who is supposed to calm him down long enough for the military and feds to stop arguing about who has jurisdiction and who gets to try to kill him first. His life is on the line, and mine is too. I’ve seen too much. They’ll take me out with him.
Destroy us both. Cover it up. Call it a day. But that’s not how it plays out. I’m the one who saves him.
I’m the one who gets alien abducted. I’m the one who falls for this brutal alien king. I’m the one who lets him seduce me. I’m the one. His one. Forever.
No way in hell am I letting Telkar draft me into servitude! Imagine this grown ass soldier begging his two nephews to behave. Other enemies he could just easily decapitate. But that’s not possible when your adversary is a thumb sucking toddler. So Telkar’s solution? Find a human female and make her take care of them. That human happens to be me. Sure, I love children. And okay, yes, this alien commander is something else entirely. His ripped muscles and tight torso leave very little to the imagination as to what he looks like when he takes off his armor. But no. You don’t just pluck me off the street. Even if you run the planet. You certainly don’t say I’m your fated mate and it all gets better. I am not going to serve him and his children with a smile. We are not going to live happily ever after. We are not soulmates. And no way do we belong together.…Then why I can’t stop thinking that we are? It wasn’t fate that made me just a maid to this alien warrior. But also his…
VS Note: Not scifi romance or even scifi but I love Anna’s books!

Mac Argeneau knows all too well: immortals can be killed. Not with holy water or silver crosses, but by decapitation or being set on fire. Become a witch, they said. It’ll be great! People think magic can solve every problem. Ha! I wish it were so, but no. Take it from a witch straight out of Salem: magic is no bag of tricks and rarely a quick fix. I would know—twenty years after I got into this gig, I’ve got more problems than you can shake a broom at, including a foul-mouthed familiar posing as a parakeet and a cantankerous old crone (I call her Mom) who won’t stop waxing on about weddings or the latest craze in fertility rites. It’s enough to drive anyone batty. So when a washed-up warlock popped into my kitchen one afternoon, desperate and in dire straits, I should have sent him packing. Instead, I listened to his tale of woe, and now I’ve got to help his prodigious teenage niece capture and return a dozen demons to the netherworld before the next full moon or all hell breaks loose. We’ve got three weeks to work. What could possibly go wrong?
Who ever heard of a witch getting evicted? There’s gotta be a spell to make these bills go away. Sadly, I don’t know it, and I’m out of time to pay. So I did what I had to, took stock of my remaining belongings, and was about to pawn my cherished cauldron (they’re custom crafted and don’t come cheap, let me tell you) when a notorious sorcerer strolled into my life. Like a breeze of over-perfumed arcana, Theo Sagebrush burst through the front door on the day of my eviction with one hell of a proposition: help him recover nine stolen artifacts on behalf of his benefactor and we’ll split a reward fit for royalty. There’s just one catch. Isn’t there always? All those artifacts are cosmically cursed and have to be back in the ground before the blood moon rises. I might be in my thirties, flat broke, and on the verge of homelessness, but I’m not suicidal. Which is exactly what I told Theo Sagebrush. And then I took the job.
In the shadows, vision can turn blurry. Truths can become lies. Enemies can become lovers. When Violet inexplicably wakes thousands of years after a nuclear holocaust, she finds the world very different. Fae exist now. They’re vicious, animalistic monsters who pervert magic and can morph into any shape—including vampires. They hoard the bounty of the new world, and keep humans banished to the wasteland. At least, that’s what the humans of today have told her. Determined to make up for an unforgivable mistake in her past, she becomes a covert assassin and seeks revenge for her human brethren. And she’s good at it. But when the thing she hunts saves her life, injuring himself in the process… her crystal clarity suddenly becomes blurry. Vampires are meant to be monsters, not protectors… not charismatic, annoyingly handsome and loyal and… everything. Indigo is a Fae Guardian, and a ruthless vampire protector of Elphyne. The Order has tasked him with finding a human with deadly secrets before the unhinged Unseelie Queen, or the fanatical human leader, can exploit her. They chose him for one reason, and one reason only – the taste of human blood does things to him. Addictive, dark, insatiable things. And when he catches Violet’s scent, they know he’ll do everything in his power to covet her and keep her safe. But Indigo hides his own shameful secret in the shadows of his heart, and if it ever comes to light, Violet will never trust him. She’ll kill him.

Five years ago, I had an audition for the ballet company of my dreams. Five years ago, my boyfriend purposely broke my toes and ruined my dreams. Two days later, I found out I’m a witch. I thought my ballet days were over. I just graduated from the academy to work as a federal agent with the Paranormal Investigation Bureau. I get called into the office for something that could change my life permanently. Meaning, I could die. That ballet company I never got to audition for is doing The Sugar Skull Girl. This ballet has never been seen on stage before. I don’t have the full story, but rumors are that any time someone tries to attempt this ballet, things soon turn fatal. I’ve been told to strap my pointe shoes on and use my witch abilities to go undercover at the ballet company. I had my reservations about taking this job, even if it had once been a dream of mine to dance for The P. The artistic director is a horny Unseelie rake who makes casting decisions with his cock. The prima ballerina here needs to retire, but she’s totally toxic about making sure no one upstages her. She has a club of mean girl ballet dancers willing to ruin careers just for the spotlight…or maybe just for fun. Not only do I have to survive gossip, hot male dancers who like to sniff around new ballerinas, and toxic prima ballerinas, I have to figure out what is going on with this ballet before we all die. I might not like these people, but I’m here to save their lives.

t wasn’t right that Tatum Roloff had two different colored eyes, the strength and height of a male shifter, the beauty and sensitivity of a female shifter, and the brains and bravery to match any alpha.
None of it mattered because wolf shifter rules had not bound her family for seven years. The Blackwater Pack had been slaughtered, forcing what was left of her family into the human world. She learned to protect and provide for the males in her life. But after her youngest brother threatened to leave her to find a pack of his own, she decided the time had come for them to go back to their roots. She was finally going to stop playing the dominant role in her family and would have a chance to find her true mate. To her chagrin, the packs of West Virginia were withering away with no help in sight. But after explaining a beneficial plan to the alpha, Tatum found herself in turmoil and thrown into a male role again. The two brothers who served as the betas had opposite opinions regarding females helping lead the pack. Cade hated her, and Luke maybe loved her. Love is hard when things are easy, but it was even more complicated when she hadn’t played by the rules. Will Tatum learn how to lead the shifters and hold onto love, or will she fail and lose it all?
’m what’s known as a Blood Witch—a witch who was half-turned by a vampire. I’m still in the process of learning how to reverse my condition by returning his ‘kiss’ to the vampire who blooded me, Lorcan Rowe. But every time we attempt the spell, it goes awry. Now it’s become a race against time; if Lorcan’s powers aren’t returned to him through a reversal spell, he’ll eventually lose his mind and there’s a very good chance he’ll kill me in the process. As if that weren’t bad enough, through a misfiring of my unpredictable magic, I manage to inundate my house with bubbling mold spores. When the spores start whispering about murder, I know something wicked this way comes. Between ghosts suddenly coming back to life, bodies found buried in the backyard, and vampires demanding my full blooding, my life is going from bad to worse. I can only hope that the bane of my existence, who also happens to be my familiar, Hellcat, doesn’t breathe a word of this to my mother. If he does, I’ll have to add ‘burning at the stake’ to the list of things already going very wrong.

I’m not a submissive man, but one growl from the Wolf Lord, and I want to bare my throat to his teeth. And I’ve just become his valorian. Dealing with Vathmar’s possessive nature is now my job, and after seeing his soul, I want the position—and every other position he cared to put me in. But the growling, grunting, and baring of teeth was going to get old, and we have more things to worry about than Vath’s savage pride. The Farungal, our fearsome enemy, wouldn’t stay beaten for long. I needed to find my footing with the Wolf Lord so we could fight this war together. As equals. If that meant standing up to him, I could do that. But if it meant leaving him, turning my back on his golden stare and godly body, I may not survive.

His pack would’ve killed him for his kinks and desires; now his human lover can’t find out about his wolf. Brandt Davis loved being part of his Michigan werewolf pack, until they found his stash of gay photos. He escaped their anger, running in wolf-form into the wilderness, but he can’t live that way forever. And he can’t hide in fur like a coward when an injured man needs his help. Ethan Sjulstad knows life is making him crazy when a solo hike into the Minnesota Boundary Waters seems reasonable. Then a bad fall leaves him seriously hurt and facing death. Delirious, he hallucinates being rescued by a big gray wolf and a naked woodland godling. For a man who has always loved fantasy, it’s worth surviving just to find out what the hell is going on.

Nothing wrecks a guy’s day like finding out he’s a werewolf. From the moment artist Dylan Shore arrives in Chicago, his life gets twisted like a kaleidoscope. Why does a street gang he’s never met before want him dead? Why is a hot but odd mathematician stalking him? And how can half the things Alex Corwin says possibly be true, no matter how honest he seems? Alex has a frightening dilemma. Dylan is attractive, appealing, out and proud. He’s also completely unaware that he’s a werewolf. It shouldn’t be Alex’s job to tell him, and warn him that gay wolves usually end up dead. But someone has to, before he finds out in blood and violence. Chicago’s not Alex’s hometown, but somehow he needs to protect Dylan from the local packs, protect the wolves from being outed by Dylan, and keep his cool around the first man to touch his own deeply-closeted heart.

A few months ago I thwarted Drogo’s sinister plan for world domination. Lucky me! I am finally out of the closet and not afraid of my magic. The Council is about to offer me a high-paying job as a mercenary, and a sexy archangel has the hots for me. Then two senior shifters disappear. What’s worse, someone is after Leia, my magical skull. I have to protect her at all costs or the supernatural peace we enjoy is at stake. Thank magic, my favorite archangels and gods can help me with that.
But keeping Leia safe is only one of my worries. An old enemy is stalking me from the shadows, planning his next move. Evil knows no boundaries and gets more wicked by the second. Remind me, how did I end up fighting for my life?
To survive as a scullery maid requires hard work, discipline, and a stiff upper lip. To survive as a demon hunter is something else entirely. Elizabeth Smyth learned this after she was captured by Demons and rescued by hunters. Now a hunter herself, Elizabeth’s first task in this new and strange world is to aid the recently wounded Reece Foxjohn, and get him back into Demon-slaying shape. . .
Reece Foxjohn is used to defying convention. He enraged his family by becoming a demon hunter, and prefers eviscerating demons to mixing with society. He is a man who doesn’t hesitate when he knows what he wants, and what he wants is Miss Elizabeth Smyth. To watch her behead the progeny of Evil is to behold a thing of beauty–one he must claim for his at all costs.
Linden Grove has always known that he’s not destined to be the next pack alpha. That position belonged to his brother Aspen—but then Aspen left the pack to join the military. When the unthinkable happens and the pack is left rudderless, someone has to step up and take care of it. Can a doctor go from “do no harm” to defending his own with his teeth and claws? Colt Doherty is used to a certain kind of life. Glittering, picturesque, and . . . empty. As the youngest child of the country’s only werewolf senator, Colt has grown up in the spotlight, and he’s all too used to knot-headed alphas taking credit for the work of others, especially omegas like himself. When his editor sends him to write a story on the Grove pack, though, he finds something completely unexpected: Linden Grove in his unpolished perfection, as shiny and sweet as the apples his pack are known for.
A Grove pack omega has been kidnapped, and someone has to step up. The pack needs Linden to fill his father’s shoes, but no wolf can stand on his own. To save the day, sheltered Colt has to drop the politics and become the action hero he never thought an omega could be.
Lochan and Ervyn—an assassin and a sharpshooter—remain in service to the queen as part of an elite reconnaissance unit. The Scouts are ghostlike. Elusive. Deadly. They strike at enemies of the Crown without mercy. They get the job done, leaving no loose ends or witnesses. When Magic Supremacists threaten the safety of Elven Country, they do their duty—whatever it takes. Lochan and Ervyn belong to each other, but will serving together as comrades-in-arms strengthen their bond as lovers or tear them apart?
Ren is a jaguar shifter whose inner cat is very close to the surface. All the human world knows is he’s got stunning green eyes and a killer physique. The man can also portray just about any part put before him and he’s turned his killer instinct into an international career as an actor in big budget blockbusters. When his Alpha asks him to take on a project in order to raise the profile of a new director he agrees, but only because he’d do just about anything for his Alpha and his people.
Katrina gave up on acting after a few years of trying her best and went back to work at her family’s restaurant. When the director sees her there and asks her to come in for a screen test, she doesn’t want to believe she might finally be getting her big break. Cast opposite one of the brightest stars in the world, Katrina can hardly believe her luck. The film may be low budget, but it has star power and Ren is both kind to her and every bit as gorgeous in person. More so, in fact. When danger threatens, Ren is the first to act, and when he declares his serious interest in her, she almost can’t believe it. Only…she’s feeling it, too. An undeniable attraction that goes more than skin deep. Does she dare trust this man who could have anyone? Dare she believe him when he says he’s given her his heart for all time? How far must he go to prove his love is real?
Tucker isn’t interested in quests, thank you very much. Though the cigar-smoking, Uber-driving vampire has long been an official member of the undead club, his very human heart still lurks inside of him—and no one has ever spoken to it more clearly than Mary…the fairy he’ll be driving to her wedding. Where she’ll be marrying someone else. Quests, right? Mary’s blindness and window-shattering scream have forced her into seclusion since childhood. A seeming burden to her splintered family, she jumps at the chance to reunite them. All she has to do is marry an evil vampire, facilitate an unholy alliance and potentially start an underworld war. Easy, right? No, but it was doable. At least until Tucker. The pair of misfits embark on a road trip that will have them questioning the past, present and future. Their building passion and trust in one another is undisputable, however. And as the battle looms, they’ll have to decide just what they’re willing to sacrifice for a lifetime together.
Wolf shifter Aspen is exhausted and needs a break from the high-fashion, celebrity world of runway modeling. The visions he’s experienced all his life are getting worse, making him feel even more peculiar and disconnected. And while he doesn’t want to be a burden to anyone, when he’s invited to stay with his adopted brother Wulf’s small pack of misfits, Aspen relishes the idea of finding a place to belong. When Gabe’s military career ends due to life-changing injury, he has no idea where to go and gratefully accepts a place with his old friend Cory and his mate, Wulf. Immediately drawn to the beautiful and unearthly Aspen, Gabe fears he is not good enough for him, and avoids Aspen until he can’t stay away any longer. As danger stalks their pack, Aspen and Gabe must overcome their insecurities to recognize they just might be mates and learn who they really are to protect those they love.
Hey, y’all. It’s me, Darcy Valentine. As you might know, my life changed three months ago when I met my sexy vampire boyfriend Storm. He and his twin sister sought protection at the B&B I run inside the warded walls of the quirky, ancestral castle I call home with the rest of the special family my mama and I have built with the motley group of weirdos who live here. Since then, we’ve been on a never-ending first date and life is glorious. Just don’t ask about my bossy mama and Storm’s sister—I prefer not to think of stuff that isn’t my business. Things are getting better and while the world isn’t quite back to normal, we’re working on it. Thanks to the brand-new laws banning the violation of mortals, I can even risk leaving the castle. Maybe. ..(more blurb on ebook seller page…)
VS Note: Saw the interview with the author on my friend Diane Burton’s blog and was intrigued.
Bruce Gawain has been between knightly quests for longer than he’d like to admit. In the town of Holden, he meets a seer who tells him where he can finally find his destiny. All he has to do is travel to the distant Wall of Nok in Gambreland. With only three coins to his name, Bruce isn’t getting much further than a barstool at the town’s inn. As luck would have it, the innkeeper’s beautiful daughter Svetlana and her flock of troublesome god-gifted sheep need an escort to Gambreland. With a paying job, everything seems to fall into place for Bruce’s quest…except for Svetlana’s killjoy bodyguard sister, an evil overlord with looming prophecy issues, and a dragon threatening to eat the townspeople until its stolen treasure is returned. Bruce sets out with his pan-wielding companion Mydeara and the negligibly talented bard, Harold to seek out the Wall of Nok. Will they find Bruce’s destiny, return Svetlana safely home, and save the people of Holden from the vengeful dragon?

To save Arcadia, I must fly into the heart of the storm – There’s a prophecy that the white wolf will save Arcadia from the clutches of a terrible storm. I am the white wolf, but even I’m having trouble believing the prophecy. The former Prince Radulf is meant to be dead, but he’s not. His spirit has taken possession of Prince Cillian’s body, and if that wasn’t bad enough, whatever soul bond the Prince and I had is gone. The only way to re-forge my bond with the Prince is to win the Royal Selection, but the city of Windhelm thinks I’m a murderer, and may outright kill me as soon as I walk through their gates. It’s a chance I’m going to have to take, because if I fail, then it won’t just be Arcadia that falls, but so will Earth once the armies of winter come crashing through portals like avalanches.
There’s no such thing as a perfect match…All my life I’ve watched my mom flit from one guy to another. I’m not going to do the same. One guy through thick and thin, that’s the way to go. But my Mr. Forever showed me his true colors, so I’m done with relationships. It doesn’t matter how cute Toby, the new hospital nutritionist is, I’m not taking another chance on love. I always knew I’d find my fated mate. I’ve heard the stories all my life and I’m not settling for anyone other than my soul mate. My dragon recognizes Liza the moment I see her. Yet despite every story I’ve heard, my mate doesn’t fall right into my arms. To claim her, I’m going to need to earn her love. Her emotional walls are so high it will take a dragon to scale them, and I’m just the dragon for that task. Claiming my mate may be more complicated than I expected, but I’ll do what it takes to make her mine.
My name is Tamsin Vale… And I’m Queen Meira’s daughter and heir to the light realm. After all I’ve been through, it turns out I’m an actual pri—nope, still can’t say the “P” word. Oh, and my dad’s a demigod. Sure, of course he is. Things aren’t going well given my new status, and too many of the fairy elders are as big of problems as the supe ones. I hear the ancients are worse and overall, it makes it difficult for me to not just bail. This wasn’t what I wanted, and I’m tired of people acting like what they want is a given for me, especially some of my men. I’m tired of a lot of things. There’s no chance for me to have a relaxing summer to recharge like I need when so much is on my plate. Fine, I’ll have some other fun as best as I can, and maybe I’ll get a vacation when I’m dead. I just don’t know how much longer I can keep juggling everything and not let out the truth.
VS note: Ummm, short blurb here…
Book 9 in this exciting new world. If you like dragons and egotistical, super-sexy demigods, then this is the series for you. I am Death, and this is my story.
VS note: And another mini blurb…must be a new trend…
They struck me down. They tried to end me. But I’m about to come out swinging.
I threw a paper airplane love note from my window. First mistake. I aimed it at a gorgeous stranger and put my address on it. Second mistake. Yep. You guessed it. I missed and hit a werewolf instead.
Best thing that ever happened to me? Next thing I knew, a large angrily attractive werewolf man was trying to get in my apartment. I introduced him to my baseball bat and figured that was the end of things. Or not. Because my well-meaning sister became a vampire to cure my immune disorder. Long story. In the process, she got a deadly team of fang bangers to hunt us for breaking their rules. Longer story. A+ for good intentions and a D- for execution, if you ask me. Re-enter Mr. Grumpy and Growly werewolf. He’s going to be my bodyguard slash kidnapper, whether I like it or not. Apparently, he’s the only thing standing between me and certain death. Swoon, right? Of course he hates all things vampire. A.K.A. he will take me from undead to dead-dead if he figures out what I’m becoming. Thankfully, he has completely underestimated my ability to woo him with my adorable innocence, cheery disposition, and extreme powers of modesty. As long as the feelings stay one-sided, I’ll be fine. Because giving your heart to a guy who is probably going to try to murder you is a recipe for disaster. And come on. When was the last time I made a catastrophic, life-threatening mistake?
Natalie Barsotti is on a mission. She wants to prove the existence of shifters in a small community. Getting a job as a nurse in Winterland, Alaska, is only the first part of her plan. If only a certain mayor wasn’t so irresistible and so damn grumpy, it would make her operation so much easier. Tucker Kearney is a simple wolf shifter. All he wants is to watch over his community of Winterland and stop the disappearances happening all around Alaska. The last thing he wants is a mate. He has reasons for keeping Natalie at arm’s length. Even if she is his mate. Even if he desperately wants her. No matter how hard they try, Natalie and Tucker can’t seem to stay away from each other. But there are more dangerous things than the past lurking in the wildlands. It might destroy them before they even begin.
Orion and the scorpion is a story everyone knows, but Stinger has no interest in killing the man who helps her manage a wave of lust. He might be just what she’s looking for. Stinger is back in town for a family wedding and then another. Being in a family that is predominantly female has its challenges, and one of those is the wedding and baby shower season. After being kidnapped the night before Nessa’s wedding, Stinger finds herself facing a familiar face and a body she wants to know better. Arthur is a charming man who is carrying out the dark elf wedding tradition, separating the bride from her ladies and the ladies from the bride. They get along well during their first interaction, which comes in handy when she needs to ask him for help the next day. Stinger and her mother control and disperse the lust and magic generated at mage weddings, keeping it from making a hotspot of lust and fertility in random areas. Stinger needs an anchor point, and she chooses Arthur Orion. He agrees to help, and fate locks them together. When she looks at him, she sees a future, but when she looks at her mother, she sees that men don’t stay, so she has a decision to make—trust everything she has learned about the male of the species while working with women’s shelters, or trust her gut. If only she had known that he was a real ogre, she might have had a second thought or a first one.

Donald had been in the room with the women for a while. He knew one of them was his mate, but their scents were so similar he couldn’t tell which one it was. He took the women home one at a time. CJ and Rachel were the last to leave. It was then that Donald knew which one was his mate. He didn’t know which one of them was taking it harder, either.

VS: Working my way through my alien empaths backlist novels. Next up is DANGER IN THE STARS, where I wrote a romantic suspense novel set in the far fduture of course and finally showed a glimpse of the evil alien Mawreg toward the end, as well as more details about the Shemdylann aliens…but the love story is at the heart.
The blurb: Miriell, a powerful empathic priestess, has been kidnapped from her own primitive planet along with a number of her people, and sold to the evil Amarotu Combine, largest organized crime syndicate in the Sectors. When she and her handler are sent to use her power to commit an assassination, she must leave behind her own sister as hostage to ensure her compliance. Miriell cannot ask for aid without endangering herself and others.
Despite his best efforts, Combine enforcer Conor Stewart is entranced by Miriell, and helps her evade the worst of brutal treatment from the rest of the mob. But Conor must keep his distance, before the lovely empath learns that he has secrets of his own–secrets that could get them both killed.
The situation becomes dire when Conor and Miriell come to the attention of both the Combine overlords and the deadly Mawreg, aliens who threaten the Sectors. Can she save herself and the Mawreg’s next victims? And will Conor help her, or remain loyal to his evil bosses?
VS Note: This is the story of the sister who is mentioned in passing in Star Cruise: Stowaway, my story in the award winning, first Pets in Space™ anthology. The new novel is completely standalone.

LINKS TO RECENT NEW RELEASES POSTS from Veronica:
“New” is generally plus or minus a week or two. I try to catch up on ones I missed in recent months. And I may mention ‘special items’.
I do NOT cover every single new release in SFR/FantasyR/PNR. I never have. That would be an impossible task for any human! I assemble my list by hand every week based on various informal inputs, and I do curate the list to some extent…
Some authors aren’t in KU but still don’t list books with Apple or other platforms. This report is very time consuming to prepare so I’ve always had to limit myself and cannot go and look up every book on all the platforms. If an author gives me their other buy links, I include them here but generally I develop the post on my own, not from author-supplied information. I curate and prepare this post individually every week to help connect readers/books/authors and I have to be very careful not to give it so much time as an activity that I don’t write my own novels! Thanks for the feedback and happy reading!
I check and verify all the buy links at the time I create the post but after that I’m not responsible.
