As always, I recommend sampling before you buy! I have not read most of the new releases listed (although I always end up one-clicking a bunch as I prepare these posts LOL).
VS Note: Always a great week with a new book from the incomparable Ms. Dixon!
I live for danger. For excitement. For adventure. When I end up in an escape pod with Alice, though, my world changes. She’s human. Vulnerable. She does NOT love danger, or excitement. But her mind is clever, her retorts sharp, and her smile brings me to my knees. I want nothing more than to keep her safe…and keep her at my side. What does one danger-loving corsair do when he’s stranded with a beautiful human female on a jungle planet? I’m about to find out.
He wanted her… He kept her… Now, what is he going to do with her?
All Gert has ever wanted is a stable position as a servant in a good household, and she has finally achieved that. If only her past would leave her alone. When she runs into an unscrupulous mercenary who ‘saved’ her from slavery, Gert wants nothing to do with him. No matter how sexy or funny he might be. Zeik knows that Gert is in trouble. Her new employer isn’t who she thinks. The little Terran is quiet and obedient – his opposite in every way – and it triggers his protective instincts. When she offers to help him on his mission, she both impresses him and takes him by surprise. But can he agree to the scheme when it risks her life? Despite her best efforts to ignore the irritatingly handsome alien, Gert finds herself falling for his jokes and his protective nature. Could there be more to an alien mercenary after all?
Looking for some alone time, Demi finds herself confronted by an alien Vikingr right when she was taking a swim—how rude! Yet, there is a spark between them that can’t be denied, regardless of what Alicia has said about him in the past. He has a darkness, for sure. But there is something else behind that gruff exterior that makes Demi want to know more. Erix has screwed over the Vikingr time and time again. He can’t help himself, though. If he doesn’t do exactly as Jarl Leke tells him, his mother will be thrown out of rehab. When he meets Demi, though, he suddenly realizes that maybe there is more to life than being threatened by his own kind.
Abducted by aliens? I can now add that unwanted experience to my shit list. And yet, that’s not the worst thing to happen to me. The ship has crashed onto a jungle planet that’s unbearably warm—with me in it. I’m not alone though. There are a couple other women in the same boat as me. Stuck, lost, and frightened. And the first two inhabitants I’ve met? They claim I’m their mate, and I find myself caught in the middle as they compete for my attention. But, there’s a catch. They can help me get off this rock, and back to my daughter. The only thing I have to do is agree to let them have me.
Vanessa – I’ve been owned by aliens for longer than most humans have been alive but haven’t given up on the one thing I want. Freedom. Spirited away from Earth at fourteen, sold from one species to another and pumped full of antiaging hormones to ensure I stayed in prime condition, my mind ages but my body never does. When whatever ship I’m on gets raided, I get new owners. I’ve never seen anything like the dragon warriors storming through the door today. They’re fierce and claim to be our rescuers, but I’ve been owned by aliens far too long to take them at their word. If they give me an inch, I’ll take a mile because I’ve got to get home or die trying. Kryos – A special mission from my chain of command sends me right back in the last place I want to be. Dracon space. Once more I’m surrounded by Draconian queens who are all infected with vicious parasites. Somehow, I’m to instigate a rebellion and scourge them from this sector of space. Then I rescue a human queen. She is nothing like the sweet humans who mated my sons. This woman is intent on claiming me to get control of my ship. Yet I can hardly breathe when her fingers ghost across my cheek. I have to pull together an alliance and keep this woman from breaking it. If I can then we might make it out of this war alive.
She’s so beautiful when she’s unaware that anyone is watching. Most prey are, but none provide admirable entertainment like this one. Hart said womankind don’t leap. He said they’re awkwardly uncoordinated. That’s because he’s never seen Eme dance. But he will as soon as I bring her in. All there’s left for me to do is find her nesting place, open a portal into Kalia, and let her walk through. This is gonna be so easy. ~ Mas
VS note: Not a romance although reviewers not attraction between the two F/F leads. A scifi release of note from MAY 25. I liked the voice of the Look Inside sample and one clicked.

Testing his decision to become a travelling agent of the Circle of Thales, Rene Laurent accepts two training missions – one to beautiful Shiraz, another one to the thousand island planet of Gui Lin. Compared to his adventures with Brother Riccardo, merely copying reports of a local werewolf sighting and fetching a book from a remote island estate sure sounds harmless enough.

He realises that his powers aren’t as benign as he thought them to be, and that it is indeed a very fine line separating man from monster.

Thea: I designed him to make grown men feel small and pathetic. To me… he’s a titan. 6’8. 700 pounds of flesh and steel. A killing machine with the strength of twenty men. He’s the only man who could stand up to a triad of Rogue Aurelians. I designed him with one purpose. To protect the weak and helpless from the coming storm. He’s the first of his kind, a flawed prototype too beastly to live. I spill my secrets to his unknowing ears, knowing he will never come alive. He will never link to his ward. Auger: My eyes have never opened. The only sound is her voice. Thea is brilliant. A genius, but compared to me, she’s weak and helpless. She doesn’t know the danger she’s in. Every time she touches me I latch onto her being. I feel her inside my spine. She belongs to me. I will find her. I will protect her. She will learn that she is mine.
In any other situation, I’d give this gorgeous warlord a piece of my mind.
Who does he think he is that I’d fall for that handsome face, those ripped abs, and lick-worthy muscles? Yes, this warlord is the only thing protecting me and my two little kids from the tyrant looking to kill us. And sure, ever since we crash landed in his kingdom, he’s taken care of us. Protected us. Looked after the kids and kept us safe. If that means serving him, so be it. I’ll do anything he wants, as long as he continues to protect us. But to then say that I’m his fated mate? And that he loves me? Please. I may be a servant, but I don’t have to like it THAT much. I am for sure going to find a way out of having to rely on him. We are so not going to be a family I keep reminding myself. But then…why is it that when he’s around, I’m not thinking of myself as his nanny. Or his servant. But rather as his…Wife.

Claytone’s final revelation will reach even further; it will change life on planet Earth— forever.
VS Note: I put it on my TBR list. Not listed as a romance but the M/M romance seems to be an integral element so we’ll see. A scifi release of note…
Two boys, alone in space. Sworn enemies sent on the same rescue mission. Ambrose wakes up on the Coordinated Endeavor with no memory of a launch. In order to survive the ship’s secrets, Ambrose and Kodiak will need to work together and learn to trust each other . . . especially once they discover what they are truly up against. Being an outcast of the wolves was always something I accepted until I met them. The four alpha wolves of Fall Mountain Pack. The year is 20__, and Penfield R. Henderson is in a rut. When he’s not walking dogs for cash or responding to booty calls from his B-list celebrity hookup, he’s holed up in his dingy Bushwick apartment obsessing over holograms of Aiden Chase, a fellow trans man and influencer documenting his much smoother transition into picture-perfect masculinity on the Gram. After an IRL encounter with Aiden leaves Pen feeling especially resentful, Pen enlists his roommates, the Witch and the Stoner-Hacker, to put their respective talents to use in hexing Aiden. Together, they gain access to Aiden’s social media account and post a picture of Pen’s aloe plant, Alice, tied to a curse:
Whosoever beholds the aloe will be pushed into the Shadowlands. When the hex accidentally bypasses Aiden, sending another young trans man named Blithe to the Shadowlands (the dreaded emotional landscape through which every trans person must journey to achieve true self-actualization), the Rhiz (the quasi-benevolent big brother agency overseeing all trans matters) orders Pen and Aiden to team up and retrieve him. The two trace Blithe to a dilapidated motel in California and bring him back to New York, where they try to coax Blithe to stop speaking only in code and awkwardly try to pass on what little trans wisdom they possess. As the trio makes its way in a world that includes pitless avocados and subway cars that change color based on occupants’ collective moods but still casts judgment on anyone not perfectly straight, Pen starts to learn that sometimes a family isn’t just the people who birthed you.
I thought getting a mate would solve my problems. I thought The Oracle would answer my questions. As it turns out, I was wrong on both counts. Because I have not one, but five mates. They’ve all claimed a piece of me. But instead of making me whole, they’ve torn me apart. The Oracle didn’t answer any questions at all. Instead, she sent me on an even longer quest, with more mysteries than when I began. Now it’s time for me to take charge of my own destiny. If I have to accept these mates in order to save my people from blood-sucking monsters, it’ll happen on my terms. And if I have to travel the continent to fulfill my role as the Alpha Queen, I’ll do it my way. To hell with the clan and their rules. This queen is making her own rules.

The time for negotiating peace has long passed. Our enemies tried to turn us against each other. Now, they kidnap our friends and mock us. They want a reaction? We’ll give them one, but it’ll be on our terms. It’s time to be ruthless.
VS Note: Reverse harem. From the blurb for book one: “The sirens have been hunted for so long that we no longer remember our pasts…Our songs have been stolen, the source of all our power, and it’s been made punishable by death to use it. They’ve taken everything from us.”

Wyatt would give anything to forget where he came from—but a kingdom demands its king. In Asalin, fae rule and witches like Wyatt Croft…don’t. Wyatt’s betrothal to his best friend, fae prince Emyr North, was supposed to change that. But when Wyatt lost control of his magic one devastating night, he fled to the human world. Now a coldly distant Emyr has hunted him down. Despite transgender Wyatt’s newfound identity and troubling past, Emyr has no intention of dissolving their engagement. In fact, he claims they must marry now or risk losing the throne. Jaded, Wyatt strikes a deal with the enemy, hoping to escape Asalin forever. But as he gets to know Emyr, Wyatt realizes the boy he once loved may still exist. And as the witches face worsening conditions, he must decide once and for all what’s more important—his people or his freedom.
“I don’t choose him. Not anymore. I’m choosing me.” King Midas made me the woman I am today. Notorious. Unattainable. His. The thing about being confined is that you believe it’s to keep the bad out. …Until you realize it’s about keeping you in. I’m now in a strange kingdom surrounded by liars, with no allies of my own, but I won’t sit idly by and let myself wither. No, there’s something that’s bloomed from the pit of my repression. Something dark. Something angry. But the last thing I expected was for my anger to call out to him. King Ravinger. He’s sinister and powerful and entirely too seductive. I’ve learned my lesson with trusting manipulative kings, so why does my chest constrict every time he’s near? I need to tread carefully, or I’m at risk of losing much more than just my freedom. Regret and revenge war inside of me, and I need to figure out a plan fast before I get tangled up in the schemes of kings and queens. Because I won’t be caught in a cage again. No, this time, it’ll be me setting the trap. …I just hope my heart comes out of this unscathed.
Lily has been alone for most of her life. Held as a captive. Used as a weapon. The mercenaries who ‘rescue’ her are as intriguing as they are brutal, but Lily is still a pawn in the games of men. They’ll use her and cast her aside if she lets them. That’s if she survives what comes next…Quin, Commander of the Dark Army, has only one goal and will let Lily die if it serves his purposes, but he’s also drawn to her in a way that makes him wish for more. No one is safe from Mad Mal, a monster who kills to satisfy dark needs. He will make her pay for tempting the other beast he hides within. And the playful Bastian seems harmless, with a taste for wine and women, but he might just harbor the darkest soul of them all…and the darkest secrets. Each man has his own twisted torments and fierce desires that Lily cannot fathom after her years a captive. But as the days and nights go by, she begins to realize she needs something she never thought she’d have and it may not be the freedom she always yearned for at all. Can she unlock the hearts of these men who care for nothing and no one to find the pieces of themselves they buried long ago, or will they decide their mission is more important than the woman who brings them to their knees?
For newly published author Eliza Sterling, having her first book launch party at the Metropolitan Museum of Art is a dream come true. Since her book is a modern-day retelling of Great Expectations by Charles Dickens and the Met is hosting a display of rarely seen Dickens’ artifacts at the same time, she chalks it up to a case of good timing. For publicly disgraced, former best-selling author Lew McDonnell, seeing a debut author having her first book launch party at the Met brings up all sorts of resentments. Especially when the book this lady is promoting just happens to be one of his old manuscripts that she’s clearly plagiarized and claimed for herself. When heated words are exchanged in front of a display case containing an original copy of Great Expectations, both Lew and Eliza are prepared for a fight. But they aren’t prepared for the room to shake, for the display case to shatter, or for the old book to send them both careening toward a new existence entirely. When Lew wakes up on the floor of the Charles Dickens museum in London to see Eliza working there as a tour guide, he knows something has gone horribly wrong. It’s the same day and time, but suddenly he’s the best-selling author headlining his own book launch again, and Eliza is serving him drinks and working all hours to make ends meet. And the weirdest thing of all? Lew is the only one who remembers their former lives.
Half-dead witch Geneviève Crowe makes her living beheading the dead–and spends her free time trying not to get too attached to her business partner, Eli Stonecroft, a faery prince in self-imposed exile in New Orleans. After a faery bargain gone wrong, a walking-dead relative and a deadly but well-paying job make juggling the holidays, romance, and work a lot more complicated than anyone needs. With a killer at her throat and a blood martini in her hand, Geneviève accepts what seems like a straight-forward faery bargain. Eli’s terms might make the holidays a little more bearable, but if she can’t figure out a way to escape this faery bargain, she’ll be planning a wedding after the holidays.
Twenty years ago, a door opened between the world of humans and the Netherwhere, allowing all kinds of otherworldly creatures entry. Some, like the kelpies and fairies, who like to bite, are best avoided. But the gargoyles are wise and wonderful, and show a special affection for humans. Vicky has grown up under the watchful eye of a gargoyle named Rupert, and excels at sword-fighting and magic. But there’s so much she doesn’t know–like why her mother, once one of the queen’s elite Ravens, keeps Vicky hidden away and won’t let Vicky train at the elite Corvus school where girls with her gifts perfect their skills. But when a horrific tragedy occurs, Vicky knows it’s finally time to use her gifts, and that the only place she should be to avenge the crime against her family is at Corvus. There she bands together with a former street thief and an alchemy student to figure out whom they can trust in a place that’s rife with intrigue and secrets. And all the while, the gargoyles watch and nudge. Time’s not linear to them, so they know change comes in ripples. With their steadying influence, Vicky and her friends just might be the generation to expose the court’s secrets and ensure a better future for both worlds.

Today is the worst day of Jane Stewart’s life. And she’s reliving it over and over (and over and over) again. She’s late to the same make-or-break meeting. She’s fired from the same soul-crushing job.
And—the cherry on top—she’s dumped by the same lying, selfish dirtbag. But no matter how many times she relives the same disasters and no matter what she tries to change them, it all ends in the same abysmal mess. Because, apparently, being stuck in a time loop on the worst day of her life hasn’t cured her crippling social anxiety. Go figure. The one bright spot? Her long-time crush wants to be more than friends . . . if only she can get them past their first date. And so her happily ever is doomed before it can even begin unless she can find a way to save her job, her heart, and, oh yeah, the space-time continuum.

Newhaven is my new home. . . isn’t it? While I’ve been in Newhaven for days, I’ve barely seen the outside of my tent. Both my heat and my seemingly never-ending amnesia being to blame. Despite it all, I’ve decided to accept the men around me for what they are, at least in theory. Lucien is my magical bond, and the others are my mates. It’s that simple, right? Not so much, not when I find that I’m not a guest in Newhaven at all, but a prisoner. The moment my heat ends I’m ready to explore the pack, but I’m not even allowed ten steps away from my tent. Maverick claims it to be for the safety of his pack members, even for my mate’s own good, and yet it leaves me feeling like a feral animal. Despite my fated mates insisting that it’s only temporary, and to trust them, I can’t bring myself to believe it. All I can think is that I’ve escaped from one trap only to be ensnared in a new one of my own making. Not only that, but I’m beginning to remember my old life, and what Lucien was to me during those long years as an immortal. Will I be able to get my head straight, accept my fated mates completely, and come to terms with my true destiny or will I crumble under the pressure?

Yet as shadows lengthen, will the hunter become the hunted?
I’ve spent the last year since my ex left me going through the motions. Get up. Work. Care for a grumpy teenager. Cook dinner. Go to bed. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. Nothing changes… Until it does. After bidding on a box of old books at an estate auction, I’m experiencing changes. And I’m not talking about menopause. My garden gnome Linda has come to life. No, really. Her name is Linda, and she never shuts up. A chonky cat with a few secrets of his own has adopted me. And a gorgeous professor of the occult tells me I’m a witch. Right now, I’m not sure who’s crazier—me, Linda or the hottie professor. If this is my new reality, it’s nature’s cruel midlife trick. I’m learning fast that earth spells might be easy, but they aren’t cheap. All magic exacts a toll, and if I don’t master the elements, the elements will be the death of me. Literally.
Maia is hell-bent on revenge until a tattooed menace literally stands in her way. Gabe is a legendary fighter with a soft heart that snags on the wounded woman before him. Together, they discover much more than they bargained for. When the world is ending, someone’s gotta step up and do the saving, and two MMA fighters might just fit the bill. The Wood Element is being activated, and with it, a war.

A truth imprinted onto my skin—its sharp vines digging into my flesh as our bond strengthens with each shallow intake of breath my love takes. Her life is intertwined with the devil, a man who hungers for depravity and death, and yet, I bend my knee for her. Only her. Always her. She is mine and I will kill to protect. Kill to own her. Gabriella Moore will never leave me. Not by choice or circumstance.
For over two centuries, I’ve been the king’s assassin—his master of combat. It’s my job to strategize and to train potential warriors, but I’ve never looked at any of them the way I look at Olivia—my best friend. She’s all subtle curves, rich chocolate eyes, and as deadly as she is sexy. With a new war knocking at our borders, the king orders us to awaken the Hunters—six of the world’s most lethal vampires. Olivia’s family has guarded them for almost as long as she’s kept her secret from her parents: She’s not some docile, mated lady-in-waiting, she’s actually a royal bodyguard.
But to convince her archaic family to wake the Hunters, Olivia has to come home with her mate.
No problem. How hard can it be to fake it for a couple of weeks? But the line between pretending and reality quickly gets blurred. The longer we play the part, the more I realize that Olivia and I are a perfect match. Now I’m not only battling a nefarious plot against us, but my own primal urges to claim Olivia. I might be the most lethal vampire on the planet, but she’s the only one who can bring me to my knees. And when I’m forced to choose between my heart and my duty, everything we’ve worked for could come crashing down.
There was a huge car explosion when I found her. I took her home, nursed her back to health because she begged me to not take her to the hospital. The only name she thought she knew was Amy. The beautiful Amy. She was all wrong for me. A human that had no idea what she was getting into. My family agreed and completely opposed the relationship. I knew I had to take her away. But I didn’t know at the time that I was taking her toward danger. She was about to find out my true identity. And we were going to have to hide a huge secret from the world. Was our love capable of handling such huge obstacles? Or would I have to bid farewell to my new family?
It was a time when gods walked the earth, when armies fought not for bits of land, but for the very existence of humanity. On such a battlefield, five formidable warriors stood against an evil greater than any the earth had ever seen. But evil is not an honorable foe. Betrayed by someone they trusted, the warriors were cursed, one by one, tossed into the maelstrom of time, imprisoned in stone, their freedom resting on nearly impossible conditions. Alone of the five, their leader, the sorcerer Nicodemus, was left free. His curse? To know that his fellow warriors remained trapped forever out of his reach, condemned to an eternity of searching for their stone prisons and the keys to their freedom. Nicodemus stood on the battlefield, magic a storm of power surrounding him, his army on the cusp of victory against his lifelong enemy, the sorcerer Sotiris, whose death would finally bring peace to their world . . . until everything changed. The four warriors who’d stood by him through endless wars were struck down by a curse, gone in an instant, and spun into the sands of time. And Antonia, the woman he loved so fiercely, was bespelled into an unknown world, captured by the sorcerer she’d betrayed…(more blurb on ebook seller page…)

She’s the only woman who ever broke my heart. Our wild, rambunctious summer together still haunts my dreams. Long sunny days and hot sweaty nights…Like all good things, it came to an end. But now she’s back. And she needs me. Well, not me really. She needs a doctor. So I examine her like I’m supposed to. And I diagnose her with a little more than just dehydration…She never wanted to be a single mom. She wants a daddy for her unborn baby. And no matter what comes…No matter what I have to do…It’s gonna be me.
He’s not like I remember him. He’s bulked up and grown his hair out, making him even hotter.
I’m trying not to notice, to get my head back in the game. Because I’m not here to drool over my best friend from college. I’m here to look after his kids. We had an easy friendship, effortless to maintain. Everyone thought we’d end up together. But neither of us made a move, and nothing ever happened. He was never as into me as I was into him. I should let it go, accept my fate as a lone wolf.
But I can’t deny that my inner animal wants to devour him. She wants to desperately run her tongue up and down his pectorals. She wants to break free from the tight leash I keep her on. This job is going to be much harder than I thought.
Wild dragons followed me home. And they’ve learned a new trick. This breed can shift into human form and they’ve taken my mother hostage. Their price for her safe return? Max Green. I’m more than happy to hand the jerkwad over, but Killian says we need more information, which leads us to working undercover at Max’s favorite hangouts. Blending in at my old high school seemed like a good plan at first to get dirt on Max Green and his friends, but after Killian tried to skewer a student, I’m not so sure this plan is going to work out. And the clock’s ticking. If we don’t have Max Green to the dragons in one week’s time, I’ll never see my mother again.

The Vampire Mate- As a human, I had a good life. I had friends and a loving family. Then an evil vampire kidnapped me. He stole me from my home and ended my life. I woke up like him. A creature who only drinks blood. He wanted me as his mate, but I managed to get away…But what I found was even worse A coven who tormented and killed, just for fun. Then the bravest man I’ve ever met walked into my life. I was starving, desperate for blood, And this gorgeous male stepped in and kept me from making a decision I’d always regret. He offered me a home in his circus and the chance to have a family again. I want this hot dragon shifter, more than anything in this world. But it’s not possible.
How can we be together when he’s mortal and I am not? My very presence puts him in danger.
The Magician Dragon Shifter – I grew up in a loving clan. But I had a wanderlust my clan did not share A wizard’s blood flows in my veins, and I have a gift for magic. I started my own circus when I was only twenty-one. I journeyed around the world and entertained crowds. My life was perfect except for one thing—I was alone, without a mate. While traveling, I met a gorgeous woman I couldn’t take my eyes off of her She’s not a human. Or a shifter. Or even a witch. She’s a vampire. And she’s the most captivating female I’ve ever seen. She hasn’t had an easy life. Her coven held her hostage for years. But she survived, and she fought back. I have to get this beautiful female to see that she’s my mate. Our connection is meant to be. But fate interrupts our time together. Now she’s on the run, and I will do anything to save her.
He’s caught in her trap. Literally. Ornithologist Madison didn’t expect to capture a bird on her first evening in the woods. She definitely didn’t expect that bird to turn into a sexy, naked man right in front of her eyes. Not that she’s complaining. Hawk shifter Simon’s task was simple. Scout ahead to check on the scientists in the nearby forest, then report back while other shifters lie low. Getting caught in a net was not part of that plan. Neither was getting freed by his fated mate. Not that he’s complaining. An ornithologist should be a bird shifter’s worst enemy. But together, Madison and Simon hatch a plan so shifters and scientists can use the woods–and so they can build a nest together–no matter who has a problem with that. And maybe they’ll figure out how to create the perfect s’more along the way.
We have less than three days to return to the capital with Jax before my life is on the line. But with my condition worsening every day and my body growing weaker, we find ourselves out of time.
The new plan? Find the cure in the mage kingdom and pray that it works. New alliances are formed, old ones are broken, and Aaliyah is more determined than ever to capture me. I’ll fight for the life I want…or die trying. Let the grim reaper come for me. I’ll be ready.
She’s new in town. She’s human. She’s friends with my little sister.
All good reasons to avoid her. She’s the most stunning woman I’ve ever seen. She knocked me off my feet the first time we met.
She’s my mate. All the reasons I can’t forget about her. Most of all, the curvy little human is determined to defy me at every turn. There’s only one thing to do…Watch out little red, the big bad wolf is on the hunt and he isn’t going to take no for an answer.
VS: My featured backlist book today is MISSION TO MAHJUNDAR, which was a standalone (but now has a sequel HOSTAGE TO THE STARS). Long long ago I read the book Far Pavilions by M. M. Kaye and was inspired to someday write my own novel where a man has to escort his beloved to an arranged marriage that she doesn’t want but is determined to go through with. I finally did! The blind heroine was inspired by a very dear friend of mine from college, who I greatly admired for her can-do approach to life.
MISSION TO MAHJUNDAR: An attempted assassination left Princess Shalira blind as a child and, now that she’s of marriageable age, her prospects are not good because of her disability. She’s resigned herself to an arranged marriage rather than face life under the thumb of her cold stepmother. But then she meets Mike Varone, a Sectors Special Forces officer sent to Mahjundar by the intergalactic government to retrieve a ship lost in her planet’s mountains. After Mike saves Shalira from another assassination attempt, she arranges for him to escort her across the planet to her future husband. She’s already falling hard for the deadly offworlder and knows she should deny herself the temptation he represents, but taking Mike along to protect her is the only way she’ll live long enough to escape her ruthless stepmother. Mike, for his part, resists his growing attraction to the princess; he has a mission on this planet and rescuing the vulnerable but brave princess isn’t it. No matter how much he wishes it could be. But what should have been an easy trek through Mahjundar’s peaceful lands swiftly turns into an ambush with danger around every turn. Shalira’s marriage begins to seem less like an arranged union and more like yet another planned assassination. The more they work together to survive, the harder it becomes to stop themselves from falling in love. Caught in a race against time, can they escape the hostile forces hunting them and make it off the planet?
LINKS TO RECENT NEW RELEASES POSTS from Veronica:
“New” is generally plus or minus a week or two. I try to catch up on ones I missed in recent months. And I may mention ‘special items’.
I do NOT cover every single new release in SFR/FantasyR/PNR. I never have. That would be an impossible task for any human! I assemble my list by hand every week based on various informal inputs, and I do curate the list to some extent…
Some authors aren’t in KU but still don’t list books with Apple or other platforms. This report is very time consuming to prepare so I’ve always had to limit myself and cannot go and look up every book on all the platforms. If an author gives me their other buy links, I include them here but generally I develop the post on my own, not from author-supplied information. I curate and prepare this post individually every week to help connect readers/books/authors and I have to be very careful not to give it so much time as an activity that I don’t write my own novels! Thanks for the feedback and happy reading!
I check and verify all the buy links at the time I create the post but after that I’m not responsible.
